What's Going On?

Well, hey there!

I'm aware it's been a good loooong minute (or almost two whole years) since I've last blogged, but my life has been an absolute whirlwind and I simply had to put my baby blog on the back burner for a while. :( Not a day goes by that I don't thought about it, though, and I fully intend on starting back up here shortly. I know you've heard that one before, but I'm really serious this time! I even bought a new camera and computer to prove it! :D

So, I suppose you're wondering what my definition of "whirlwind" is (or maybe you're not, but I'm going to tell you anyway because I feel like it). ;) Shortly after the last time you guys heard from me, I (re)met the man of my dreams and was lucky enough to marry him this past April. He is the best person I know, and I believe wholeheartedly that we were made for each other. Married life is awesome, and every day is an adventure with him. Other than that, we've been doing some traveling, and are currently getting ready to move for the third time in the past year and a half. I'll hopefully get back to blogging as soon as we're all settled into the new place. I am still very much into nails, and I often post quick photos of them on my Instagram, @gagafornails. So in the meantime I'd love for you to stop by and say hello!

I'd like to leave you all for now with a few photos from my wedding! Enjoy! :)

Indie Fever! Afterall It's Fall by Lush Lacquer.

Hey girls, heyyy!

I know it's been a while and I say this quite often, but I'm reeeally going to try super hard to start posting on a regular basis. I have TONS of new babies to show you guys; mostly indies, of course. ;) Also, I'm in the process of putting together a Christmas/blogiversary/300+ Facebook follower giveaway! I just have a couple more things to buy and I'll launch it immediately following. :e

Today I'd like to feature a polish that comes from one of my favorite indie stores: Lush Lacquer! I've purchased probably 15 polishes from these ladies so far and buy a couple/few every time they release a new line. Sorry I'm not sorry. :angel

This pretty, hence the title of this blog post, is called Afterall It's Fall. I. Am. In. Love. This is just one coat over Sation Rusty Brick and it looks amaaaazing, if I do say so myself. I'm sure this polish would look awesome by itself but seeing as I only own a mini of it, I wanted to use it sparingly. :P Obviously, this baby is packed FULL of all sorts of fun. It consists of matte green, brown, orange, yellow, gold and red hex and square glitter in a clear base with a slight tint of brown. :L It's so perfect for the Fall/Thanksgiving season.

The Lush Lacquer ladies offer many, many other awesome polishes and just launched a new Holiday collection in their etsy shop, as well! You should go check it out if you haven't already. ;)

Jamberry Nail Shields Review!

HEYYY.

Okay, so I've seen these Jamberry Nail Shields everywhere and have been kind of wanting to try them out, but never got around to doing so. Not too long ago, a consultant contacted me asking if I'd like to try out and review them and of course I obliged. Why not?

So here's what I came up with. I used butter LONDON Pillar Box Red as a base, the Jamberry Nail Shield is obviously what's on my pointer finger, and I used some silver "glequins", as Sam at The Nailasaurus likes to call them, from the Born Pretty Store. I liked the overall look of this manicure, but not so much the nail shield itself. :o

First of all, the shield that they gave me didn't fit ANY of my nails. You can't really tell in this photo, but it's entirely too small for the nail. It was like this for all of my nails, excluding my pinky, in which case it was much too large. >.< If I were to purchase a full sheet, I'm sure that would include enough sizes so that all of my nails would be properly covered, but the one they sent me just wasn't cutting it and it didn't have much of a stretch to it, either.

You can also see where it tore a bit at the tip of my nail. This could be all thanks to "user error", but I thought it was really difficult to file/cut off at the end. Then it almost immediately started lifting after I was finished with the whole thing, which subsequently made me peel it off just a couple hours later.

SO ANYWAY,
I may or may not purchase a sheet and give it another try here soon. They have a ton of really pretty and neat designs to choose from on their website for $15. If I attempt them again, I'll be sure to report back! :tup

What do you ladies think about this look?
Have you ever tried Jamberry Nails and if so, how was your experience?
Thanks for reading, loves!
