Mummy Mani!

HEY, FOLKS.

So I'm really excited about today's post. :e My good friend's 21st birthday party is tonight so 10 of us are taking a limo to downtown Nashville to celebrate, aaand I am super excited!

ANYWAY.
I'm a huge fan of Jane from Nailside and I've always wanted to try her Mummy Tape Mani. Since I constantly think in nail designs/polishes (as I'm sure the rest of you do) you can only guess where my mind went when I chose this dress from Charlotte Russe to wear to the party:

If you guessed Jane's Mummy Tape Mani, you are correct! :party

The purples in the polish and dress aren't quite the same shade, but I'm okay with that because I love this so. freaking. much. :L The polishes I used were China Glaze Flying Dragon and Zoya Raven. Is it just me, or is Flying Dragon the weirdest polish ever? I was like "wtf..." the first time I used it because I thought it was so pretty in the swatches I'd seen. It's one of those polishes that, in my opinion, completely transforms from something matte and ugly to something really awesome when you add a topcoat to it. :)

I believe that this design is something I'll be doing again. What do you think?
Thanks for reading! <3

  6. yay! I tried to do a checkerboard tape mani the other day, but no matter how long I let it dry the polish stuck to the tape anyway... hmph. perhaps it was the SV's fault?
