Finals Week Blues: Day 3 - Blue Gradient

Heyyy!

This shall be another short post today; I just got finished taking another final and have to head back up to campus in a bit to finish up a project and study for my LAST final tomorrow morning. Then, I'm one project + one presentation away from the end of the semester. xP

Onto brighter things, for day three of 'Finals Week Blues' I chose two blues I've never used before and did a simple sponge gradient. Here's how it turned out:

The lighter blue is OPI Fly and the darker is Color Club Trippie Hippie. I used this sponging method and I thought it worked pretty well. However, I did make the mistake of 1) not painting a base coat first, and 2) not taping off my fingers, therefore this is what it looked like pre-clean up:

Clearly, cleaning this mess up was a megabiotch. I made sure to tape off my right hand, though, and that took significantly less time. :P Then I took a shower right after and got all the rest off that way, heheh.

SO, there you have it. I hope you all enjoyed today's post!
Thanks for reading. ^_^

    1. Thank you, girl! Bahahaha, that's hilarious. I just get so turned off by the mess, it makes me not want to do it again. I suppose that makes me lazy, also! :P

  5. Haha I love the pre-cleanup picture! That's too awesome. I'm glad I'm not the only that has an "oopsy" moment after trying something. And that gradient is awesome. I love the color you used at the tip, the slight color shifting gives it a fresh look!
